Blankbaby goes on a Cross Blog Field Trip

That's right folks; I ventured out into the cruel, cruel world yesterday and saw the Rufus Wainwright, Ben Folds, and Guster concert at the Festival Pier of Penn's Landing.

Now, while this may sound like fun this concert was more than just a concert. It was, in fact, the first Blankbaby/Good Grief! summit. Many items of import were discussed and several actionable items were agreed upon (by at least one of those attending). Among them:

• Rufus Wainwright is a little too whiney for his own good
• Proper Punctuation is important
• Mangled Pretzels = Crushing Christ
• Water is preferable to Diet Pepsi or Coke
• Musicians making political statements at their shows just isn't appreciated

As you can see the ramifications of this meeting will be felt worldwide.

Anyway, the concert was good. Guster and Ben Folds were both very good and rocked out. Rufus was the weakest of the three, however I am not a Rufus fan. Becky did agree though, and she likes the Rufus, or at least she did a few albums ago.

I had a good time, and I am glad Becky wanted to go with me, because otherwise I would have missed out on seeing such a great concert. Plus, I got to meet the voice behind Good Grief!, and who wouldn't want that? Luckily for me I didn't turn my collar up and wear my ultra skinny tie.
